Substation Commissioning and Protection Training Services

TDx Power owns a range of specialised testing and commissioning equipment which we use for protection training and field testing and commissioning services.
Our philosophy is that a solid understanding of power system fundamentals is best understood by engineers with actual hands on testing and commissioning experience.

TDx Power’s complement of commissioning equipment includes the following:

• OMICRON CPC100 primary injection set;
  
• OMICRON CMC256 injection test set;
  
• OMICRON CT Analyzer;
  
• SEL (Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories) demonstration substation protection and automation system consisting of SEL 351S, 221F and 2030F relays and communications processors;
  
• a wide collection of electromechanical relays which are used for training purposes;
  
• Megger DET2/2 high accuracy earth electrode and soil resistivity tester and DEHN earth testing equipment;
  
• Impedograph quality of supply meter (capable of power quality and transient measurements and recordings of three phase voltages and currents);
  
• Landis + Gyr ZMD and Elster Kent A1700 class 0.5 four quadrant tariff meters.
